Insurance coverage varies depending on your workplace agreement. Check with your employer for which insurance coverage applies to your workplace agreement.
Benefits are available to workers as long as redundancy contributions/levy payments are up to date at the time of the event.
If you are an on-site worker in Victoria and your employer is paying redundancy contributions on your behalf, you are automatically covered for Personal Accident Leisure Time Insurance under the Building & Construction Industry Accident and Illness Benefits Program. This covers Leisure Time Accident Insurance, Funeral Cover and Discretionary Covers including emergency transport and accidental dental.
Victorian workers who receive Income Protection and Trauma (IPT) contributions from their employer are eligible for Incolink’s IPT benefits program. This insurance program includes cover for Leisure Time Illness, TAC Top-Up, Workers’ Compensation Top-Up and Workplace Death & Capital Benefits.
If you are an on-site worker in Tasmania and your employer is paying redundancy contributions on your behalf, you are automatically covered under the Leisure Time Accident Benefits program - Tasmania. This program includes Leisure Time Accident Insurance (weekly benefits, capital benefits, broken bones and bill payer), Journey Cover, Funeral Cover and Accidental Dental.
Tasmanian apprentices also have access to this program as long as apprentice days are recorded and current at the time of the event.
Tasmanian workers who also receive Illness Insurance contributions, have access to the Illness Benefits Program - Tasmania. This program includes Leisure Time Illness cover as well as Bill Payer benefits.
Tasmanian apprentices also have access to this program as long as their employer pays Illness Insurance contributions on their behalf.
